Composition:
Each
film coated Calbon Plus tablet contains calcium (as calcium
carbonate) USP 600 mg, vitamin D3 (as cholecalciferol) BP 200 IU,
vitamin C BP 60 mg, vitamin E BP 15 IU, magnesium BP 20 mg,
manganese BP 1 mg, zinc BP 7.5 mg, copper 1 mg and boron 250 mcg.
Indications:
Calbon
Plus is indicated to maintain strong bones and teeth as well as the
health of the muscles and nerves. It is also indicated for the
prevention & treatment of osteoporosis & post-menopausal
osteoporosis. It is needed for bone development and constant
regeneration of bone as well.
Dosage
and Administration:
2
tablets per day, preferably 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet in
the evening or as directed by the physician.
Side-effects:
Mild
and transient effects of gastrointestinal disturbance, like
constipation, flatulence, nausea, diarrhoea may be seen in some
individuals. Following administration of vitamin D supplements may
cause skin rash in some rare cases. Hypercalciuria have been seen
with long-term use at high dosages.
Precaution:
Patients
suffering from any renal dysfunction and hypoparathyroid should be
careful when taking this medicine. Contraindication:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Periodic checks of
plasma calcium levels and urinary calcium excretion should be made
in patients with mild to moderate renal failure or mild
hypercalciuria.
Use
in Pregnancy and Lactation:
Calbon
Plus should be used as directed by physician during pregnancy or
while breast-feeding.
Drug
Interaction:
Calbon
Plus has possible interaction with digoxin, antacid containing
calcium, aluminium or magnesium, other calcium supplements,
calcitriol or other vitamin D supplements; tetracycline,
deoxycycline, minocycline or oxytetracycline etc. So, before taking
Calbon Plus, suggestions of the physicians are needed.
Storage:
Store
in a cool and dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of
children.
Packaging:
Each
bottle contains 15's/30's tablet.
