ISM-20

Isosorbide-5-Mononitrate

Composition:

Each ISM-20 tablet contains lsosorbide-5-mononitrate INN 20 mg.

Indications:

ISM-20 is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of angina pectoris.

Dosage & Administration:

The usual oral dose is 1 tablet (20 mg) 2 times daily, first dose in the morning and another, 7 hours apart. Although maintenance dose ranging from 20 mg to 120 mg. A dose of 10 mg is suitable when lower dosage is used at the starting of treatment or as directed by a registered physician.

Contraindications:

ISM-20 is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to isosorbide-5-mononitrate or isosorbide dinitrate.

Side-effects:

Headache, dizziness, hypertension, etc. may occur.

Precautions:

No dosage adjustment is necessary in the elderly, or patients with renal or hepatic impairment. Safety on pregnant women have not been established. Excretion in human milk is unknown.
