Cozopt SUD is a 100% preservative-free ophthalmic solution combining a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor (CAI) (Dorzolamide) and a beta-blocker (Timolol) to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) by reducing aqueous humor production with a dual mechanism of action. Manufactured with USA technology from Weiler as well as European-sourced resin pellets from Germany, it guarantees high product quality and sterility. Its real re-closable vial optimizes convenience and reduces wastage. The inclusion of Hydroxyethyl Cellulose and Mannitol in the formulation enhances drug residence time and bioavailability.
Cozopt SUD is a 100% preservative-free ophthalmic solution. It is a CAI-Beta blocker combination. Dorzolamide is carbonic anhydrase II inhibitor which decreases aqueous humor secretion by slowing the formation of bicarbonate ions with subsequent reduction in sodium and fluid transport. Timolol is a non-selective beta blocker that lowers IOP by decreasing the formation of aqueous humor in the ciliary epithelium.
For the 1st time in Bangladesh, it is manufactured with USA technology from Weiler, which ensures the optimum quality of the product. It ensures a high degree of product sterility assurance. It is supplied in a real Re-closable vial, ensures convenience & less wastage, while daily use; thus, reduces unnecessary costs at a time. It is manufactured with Hydroxyethyl Cellulose (HEC) & Mannitol which increases drug residence time & bioavailability. Due to the preservative-free formulation, this combination significantly reduces preservative-induced ocular abrasion.
Cozopt SUD Preservative-free Ophthalmic Solution: Each ml contains Dorzolamide Hydrochloride USP equivalent to Dorzolamide 20 mg & Timolol Maleate BP equivalent to Timolol 5 mg.
Cozopt SUD Preservative-free Ophthalmic Solution is indicated for the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to topical beta blockers.
Instill one drop in the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) twice daily.
Contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to any of the components of this preparation.
• For ophthalmic use only.
